Bristol Beacon

Bristol Beacon contacted Giggle to help with their official reopening event in November 2023. This was the first time that the hall had been open since the refurbishment began in 2019. In that time, the building had rebranded, moving away from its connection to Colston, a renowned Bristol slave trader. The hall’s new identity, Bristol Beacon, was one that inspired unity, community and connection.

Thank you so much to you and the team for lighting up the Beacon last week – it really set the celebratory tone that we were looking for and I think the campaign translated so well to the outside of the building.I’m so grateful for your team’s proactive and flexible approach

The opening night was going to include a performance in the main hall, but Bristol Beacon wanted to find a way for the visitor experience to be enhanced from before they even crossed the threshold. This is where we came in. We took content created for the launch and projection mapped it onto the gold facade of the building, bringing the imagery to life, and playing with the shapes of the building.
